Note:
/ CN: The original answer scale was a reversed 9-point-scale with the answer options 1) Never, 2) No more than once a year, 3) Once or twice a year, 4) Several times a year, 5) Once a month, 6) Two or three times a month, 7) Almost every week, 8) Every week, and 9) Several times a week. The scale has been recoded to match the ISSP standard. Observations for the original answer categories 7 and 8 were merged into the harmonized category 2 'Once a week'.
/ HU: The answer scale indicated in the questionnaire started with code 8 'Never' and ran to code 1 'Several times a week'. Code 6 read 'Once or twice a year'.
/ IL: Israel used a 9-point scale with separate categories each for 'Once a day or more' and for 'Several times a week or more'. Answers to these two categories were merged to the ISSP standard category 1 'Several times a week or more often (incl. every day, several times a day)' to meet the ISSP standard.
/ NO: In ISSP 2021, the request 'Do not include weddings, funerals, baptisms or similar' following the main question was left out, so it might not be directly comparable to previous years. As it is also difficult translating the term 'more often' in code 1 'Several times a week or more often' in Norwegian, it was landed on just using the first part of the phrase 'Several times a week'.
