  • This paper deals with the relevance of autoethnography for Volkskunde/cultural anthropology. It points out some connections between autoethnography and research principles of Volkskunde/cultural anthropology and tries to specify the term for future use in the field. Based on a discussion of major points of criticism, the authors call for a critically-reflexive but also courageous use of autoethnography in research and teaching. (xsd:string)
