  • Note:
    For some countries, double mentions for v8 and v9 were found during data preparation. Depending on the mode of data collection used, this was possible, even if not intended. However, if the number of such cases for a country was around one per cent of the national sample, these were recoded to -9 ‘No answer’ in v9 during data preparation. If the number of such cases was higher, these cases were recoded to -7 ‘Wrong answer behaviour’ in v9. The answer 'Can't choose' (code -8) was excluded from this procedure in the case of same answers for v8 and v9.
