Note:
/ CN: High number of missing values, as agricultural work is not counted as paid work and both, people who are currently working in agriculture but have never done non-agricultural work in the past just like respondents who are currently unemployed and have never done non-agricultural work in the past, were filtered out before the above question was asked. Their missing answers are included in code -9 'No answer'.
/ DK: The data generated with the question documented above was used to generate both EMPREL and TYPORG2.
/ NZ: The order of the questions in the questionnaire was MAINSTAT/ WORK, WRKHRS, ISCO08, WRKSUP, NSUP, TYPORG2, TYPORG1, EMPREL.
/ RU: EMPREL (without number of employees), TYPORG1 and TYPORG2 are derived from the same question.
/ TW: EMPREL, TYPORG1 and TYPORG2 were derived from the same question.
/ ZA: EMPREL was collected using the previous format for EMPREL that was mandatory until ISSP 2017. For self-employed respondents, the information on the number of employees can not be provided. Respondents working self-employed with employees are encoded to the extra code 6 'Self-employed with employees; no numbers available'.
