    / CZ: The election dates were 20th and 21st of October, the field work was however done before, during and after the elections, therefore the question had different wording, depending of the date of the interview.
    / DE: In contrast to former ISSP surveys, the answer categories 'not eligible to vote' and 'refused' were not explicitly offered this time.
    / IS: A snap election was held during the fielding period (28. October 2017). Web and paper questionnaires were changed during the data collection period to reflect this change. The previous election was held on October 29th 2016.
    / NZ: Category 0 'Not eligible to vote in last election' was not used, 'not eligible' included in code 2.
