  • Note:
/ CZ: There has been a filter instruction for variable TYPORG1 and TYPORG2 in the Czech questionnaire only addressing respondents who are or were employees (code 1 in EMPREL). However, self-employed respondents (EMPREL=2 or 3) are retrospectively coded into code 1 'For-profit' in TYPORG 1 and into code 2 'Private' in TYPORG2.
/ DK: TYPORG1 has been filtered by TYPORG2. Thus people of several codes in TYPORG2 (employed, self-employed, working for own family's business) are not asked on TYPORG1. Only afterwards, employees working at a public employer have been assigned to code 2 'Non-profit organization' in TYPORG1.
/ ES: Due to filtering in the Spanish original questionnaire repondents working in public administration were originally not considered when asking TYPORG1 but afterwards assigned to code 2 'Non-profit organization'.
/ ES: The Spanish questionnaire for ISSP Work Orientations 2015 includes an instruction for interviewers to refer questions (WRKHRS, EMPREL, NEMPLOY, WRKSUP, NSUP, TYPORG1/2, and ISCO08) to the main wage earner in the household only if the respondent has never worked. These data are not included here.
    / GB-GBN: Includes self-employed as for-profit.
/ IS: There are no cases for category 3 'Never had paid work' in WORK. This category was, however, asked. Thus, for all variables that follow WORK and in which WORK code 3 serves as a filter argument, there are no cases in the filter category for Iceland.
