How many full years of schooling or education have you had? Please include primary and secondary schooling, university and full-time vocational training, but do not include repeated years.

BE: How many years of primary education did you complete? How many years of secondary education did you complete? How many years higher education of short or long type or university did you complete?
CH: For how many years were you in fulltime education? Don't count the time you possibly spent doing an apprenticeship or repeating years. How many years did it take to do this apprenticeship, not including any possible repeated years?
CZ: How many years of schooling or education have you had? Please include all years of full-time study, even if you did not graduate from that school. Do not forget about primary school. Do not include vocational and requalification courses, part-time study or distance learning. Do not include repeated years.

/ GB-GBN: Derived by subtracting 5 years from the answer to this question, the school starting age in Britain.
/ HR: category 95 still at school was recoded to 8 years at school, category 96 still at college to 12 years at school.
/ SE: If you are currently in education, count the number of years you have completed so far. Usually people enter the school system (the low stadium) at age 6 or 7.
/ TR: Take a note of the year given. If the respondent says primary school graduate then code 5, junior high code 8, high school code 11, university graduate code 15. If the respondent is a medical school graduate then code 17, engineer or architect with an MS code 16.
