    In 2010, this question was part of the ISSP-modules surveyed together with ALLBUS. As a rule ISSP-questions are not included in this cumulative data set. However, because the question documented here has also been part of the ALLBUS-interview several times, the ISSP-data was included in this data set. Please note that, in contrast to the ALLBUS interview, the ISSP-modules are surveyed as self-completion questionnaires.

    Please note that no coding according to ISCO 1968 was performed for the ISSP 2010 data. Consequently the 2010 data is coded as -34 ‘Not included‘ in this variable. A coding according to ISCO 1988 is available in variable isco88b.
