    Size of Municipality categorizes the respondents' places of residence according to their number of inhabitants. For reasons of data protection uncategorized data of this kind cannot be published. The categorization of respondents’ places of residence is based on information about the places’ size as political/administrative units. Because political or administrative units are in many cases unsuitable to accurately describe the type of community in which respondents actually live, ALLBUS also provides more sophisticated geographical classifications (compare bstdt07, bstdt10, gs05, bik).

  • The German General Social Survey (ALLBUS) collects up-to-date data on attitudes, behavior, and social structure in Germany. Every two years since 1980 a representative cross section of the population is surveyed using both constant and variable questions.
