    Cases for which there was no answer in the multiple response question, are coded as -32 ‘Cannot be generated’ in this variable.

    Please note that the list of income sources had to be updated for each survey. For this reason, the lists used differ both in terms of the types of income collected and the number of possible answers:
    In 1984 the list comprised the 18 items in di10, di11, di13-di20, di22-di29
    In 2004 the list comprised the 19 items in di12 (combines two items) and di13-di29
    In 2014 the list comprised the 20 items in di10, di11, di13-di23, di24 (consolidates two items) and di25-di29.
