  • Die Europäischen Wahlstudien (European Election Studies - EES) befassen sich mit dem Wahlverhalten bei den Wahlen zum Europäischen Parlament. Mit Umfragen und anderen Datenerhebungsmethoden werden Themen wie die Entwicklung der politischen Gemeinschaft in der Europäischen Union, die Wahrnehmung und Bewertung des politischen Systems der EU durch die Bürger, deren Präferenzen über EU-Politiken usw. abgebildet. Neben den seit 1979 durchgeführten Wählerumfragen umfasst das EES-Programm auch Umfragen zur politischen Elite, Medienstudien und das Euromanifestos-Projekt, welches Parteiprogramme inhaltlich kodiert. Die Daten bieten umfangreiche Möglichkeiten für vergleichende und längsschnittliche Analysen in den EU-Mitgliedstaaten. (de)

  • PIREDEU (Providing an Infrastructure for Research on Electoral Democracy in the European Union) ist ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt zur Einrichtung einer Infrastruktur für die Erforschung der demokratischen Wahlprozesse in der Europäischen Union. Das europaweite Projekt wurde koordiniert von European University Institute (EUI) und Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSCAS) und gefördert durch das 7. Forschungsrahmenprogramm der Europäischen Union von 2008 bis 2011. EUI/RSCAS ist zuständig für gesamte Leitung und Koordination der Studie. Hauptaufgabe von GESIS in diesem Projekt ist die Langzeitarchivierung, Vertrieb, Dokumentation und Publikation der Daten. (de)
  • PIREDEU is a collaborative project on “Providing an Infrastructure for Research on Electoral Democracy in the European Union”, coordinated by the European University Institute (EUI) and its Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSCAS). The project is funded by the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme from 2008 up to 2011. The EUI/RSCAS is responsible for the overall management and coordination of this design study. GESIS´ main task within the project is providing expertise on coding, long-term archiving, dissemination, and documentation of the data. (en)
  • The European Election Studies (EES) offer data about electoral behaviour in European Parliament elections. Collecting survey data as well as a variety of other data types, they cover topics such as the evolution of a political community in the European Union, citizens´ perceptions of and preferences about the EU political regime, and the evaluation of its political performance. Besides ´voter surveys´ conducted since 1979, the EES program comprises political elite surveys, media studies and the Euromanifestos project, which is content-coding Party Manifestos. The EES offer extensive opportunities for comparative and longitudinal analyses across the EU member states. (en)
