  • Derivation of data:
    In ALLBUS 2004 and ALLBUS 2014, the multiple response question on sources of household income (V927-949) was followed by a question asking for the main source of household income. Only respondents who had named more than one source of household income received this question, while respondents who had named a single source of household income skipped this question. For this cumulated data set, the data for single income source households and the data from the follow-up question for multiple income source households was consolidated in a single variable containing the main source of income for all households. Cases for which there was no answer in the multiple response question, are also coded as ‘no answer’ in the consolidated variable.
