  • Die Central and Eastern Eurobarometer wurden im Auftrag der Europäischen Kommission nach dem Fall des "Eisernen Vorhangs" zwischen 1990 und 1997 durchgeführt, um den wirtschaftlichen und politischen Übergang sowie die Einstellung zu Europa und der Europäischen Union in Mittel- und Osteuropa zu beobachten. Zu diesem Zweck wurden jährlich repräsentative nationale Stichproben in bis zu 20 Ländern der Region gezogen, die künftige Beitrittskandidaten und ausgewählte ehemalige Sowjetrepubliken (GUS) umfassen. Die persönlichen Befragungen fanden in der jeweiligen Landessprache statt. Der Standardumfang der Stichprobe beträgt 1000 Befragte pro Land. (de)
  • The Central and Eastern Eurobarometer were conducted on the behalf of the European Commision after the fall of the "iron curtain", between 1990 and 1997, in order to monitor the economic and political transition as well as attitudes towards Europe and the European Union in Central and Eastern Europe. For this purpose, representative national samples have annually been drawn in up to 20 countries of the region, covering future applicant or candidate countries and selected former Soviet Republics (CIS). Respondents were interviewed face-to-face in the respective national language. The standard sample size is 1000 respondents per country. (en)
