?:abstract
  • Job Exposure Matrices (JEM) for four different types of job demands that can be matched via the occupational classifications ISCO-88 or KldB-92 to any kind of dataset. Every job category coded according to ISCO-88 is represented in the index: 100% of all 2-digit ISCO-88 codes, 94.8% of the 3-digit codes, and 78.5% of the 4-digit codes can be matched. The JEM were originally proposed in the paper: Kroll LE (2011) Construction and Validation of a General Index for Job Demands in Occupations Based on ISCO-88 and KldB-92. MDA – Methoden, Daten, Analysen 5 (1): 63-90. (xsd:string)

?:comment
  • To match the JEM to your dataset the following steps are suggested: 1. Check which is your occupational coding. ISCO-88 and the German KldB-92 are supported out of the box. For other Classifications conversion schemes not to be applied. 2. The next step is to generate a variable with an identification string for your classification. 3. Step is the actual matching which is done separately for digit-levels of your classification. It is suggested to match 4-digit codes first and then to fill remaining missings using 3-digit and later 2-digit matches. A Sample code for Stata is provided to facilitate matching.;Sonstige (xsd:string)
