Deconvoluting the U’s into positions which are known to be pseudouridylated and those which are not, the pseudouridines appear to display a profile similar to that of A, C and G (i.e. ‘uncleaved/protected’, Figure 1B, middle panel) and well distinct from U’s (the pink and yellow peaks do not overlap).
