As part of an effort to identify antiplasmodial and antifouling metabolites, two cyanobacteria from two geographically distinct environments were studied: a Malaysian Moorea bouillonii and a Red Sea Okeania sp. Moorea and Okeania genera were delineated from the Lyngbya genus [9,10].
