Thus, addition of N-chloro-succinimide to the [Pt(OXA)(DACHEX)] complex dissolved in acetic acid leads to formation of compound 5 thanks to the large excess of acetic acid used as solvent which promotes the entry of the acetate into the second axial position (Scheme 3).
