Mice of the H-2 (e.g. C57BL/6) and H-2 (e.g. BALB/c) haplotype are more sensitive to experimental infection than are mice of the H-2 haplotype (e.g. C3H), which are approximately 10-fold more resistant to mortality than those of the b or d haplotype [24].
