Common gross lesions of acute mousepox include enlarged lymph nodes, Peyer’s patches, spleen and liver; multifocal to semiconfluent white foci of necrosis in the spleen and liver; and haemorrhage into the small intestinal lumen [36], [81], [86], [87].
