At least 500 cells in the vaginal epithelium were counted in each slide in random fields, starting in the area of higher nuclei concentration with Ki-67 expression, using Imagelab Image Analysis and Processing Software (SOFTIUM Informática LTDA, São Paulo, Brazil).
