Although the role of SUMO and STUbLs in regulation of microtubule- and spindle-dependent processes is less understood, proteomic and functional studies show that the functional principles through which SUMO and STUbLs regulate DNA repair and transcription apply also to the regulation of microtubule-dependent processes.
