The only alterations that were more pronounced in another model (HFHSu 25 weeks) were insulin levels and C-peptide levels (Figure 2D), which are associated with endogenous pancreatic insulin secretion, suggesting that the “sugar” component of this diet likely has a higher impact on the pancreatic secretion of insulin.
