Herein we showed that hypercaloric diet disease models tested (HF 19 weeks and HFHSu 25 weeks), but not the genetic model, showed an increased SNS index in comparison to age-matched controls, suggesting an increased sympathetic activation (Figure 6B), without any alteration of the PNS.
