Although two separate Japanese lamprey contigs were identified (one with the motor domain and a second with the CBD), both of these contigs are on the same scaffold, and results from using the surrounding sequences as query sequences for BLAST searches and comparing syntenic regions suggest that the two Japanese lamprey sequences are part of the same, contiguous myo5 gene.
