To test this, first, we found a considerable increase in AFAP1-AS1 expression in the nucleus versus the cytosol (Fig. 5a), GAPDH was used as a cytosol marker and U6 was used as a nucleus marker, thus suggesting that AFAP1-AS1 may play a major regulatory function at the transcriptional level.
