Both samplings of wild animals and domestic livestock were performed in the frame of health surveillance programs approved by the Departament d′Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca, Alimentació i Medi Natural—Generalitat de Catalunya (DARPAMN, the Regional authority in charge of livestock and wildlife management).
