MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and a GPC method were further utilized to characterize the dendrimers, with the results summarized in Table 1 and the ESI.† The molecular weights of the dendrimers range from 6820 to 11 139, accompanied with an increase in the content of chromophore moieties.
