Data of experiments were analyzed by unpaired two-tailed Student´s t test when only the treatment factor was the grouping variable or ANOVA when two grouping variables–pretreatment and treatment–were used as factors, followed by the Student Newman–Keuls’ post hoc test for multiple comparisons when appropriate.
