There were no associations between CSF levels of either VEGF or PlGF and amyloid plaque density (quantified according to the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease templates) or Braak tangle scores in patients with PD, suggesting that changes in angiogenic factors are not related to AD amyloid or tau pathology.
