Interestingly, AMBRA1-mediated ubiquitylation of ULK1 is antagonized by MTORC1-mediated phosphorylation of S52 in AMBRA1, which provides an additional (indirect) avenue for MTORC1 to inhibit ULK1 [38], which could strengthen the robustness of oscillatory behavior.
