In the northern part of the region, where we conducted our sampling (18°28′−18°39′N, 93°02′−95°18′W), only 13% of the 75,000 ha of original rainforest remains and the landscape is composed of an archipelago of different sized forest patches that vary in degree of isolation and habitat quality [25].
