After spleens were excised, they were placed in Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) supplemented with 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), 1 mM sodium pyruvate, 2 mM L-glutamine, 100 µg/mL streptomycin sulfate and 100 units/mL penicillin (complete DMEM).
