These data are in accordance with the findings of Gervais et al. [26] and Paternoster et al. [27], who reported decreased ALT levels in serum during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy until normal ALT values (ALT≤40 U/L), together with a corresponding increase in HCV-RNA levels.
