We have previously reported that inhibition of EGFR signalling axis and activation of PPARĪ³ axis are both effective in significantly inhibiting proliferation of human carcinoma cells through different pathways, in part converging to PI3K/Akt, cyclin D1, and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors [7], [16].
