Evaluation of inhibition curves would reveal that the EC for an inhibitor resistant virus (defined as the half-plateau height, or the concentration at which the inhibitor achieves 50% of its maximal effect) is equal to the IC of the inhibitor against the inhibitor-sensitive variant of the virus.
