After a brief centrifugation to remove mitochondria, nuclei and organelles (1 min, 1000 rpm, Beckman apparatus), the supernatant enriched in the membrane component was pelleted for 10 min at 13000 xg at 4°C and resuspended in PBS to assay for enzymatic activity.
