Genotyping (of the SNPs with p<1×10−5 in the GWAS meta-analysis) was carried out on the entire ALSPAC cohort for whom DNA was available (10121 individuals) by KBioscience (http://www.kbioscience.co.uk), who employ a novel form of competitive allele specific PCR (KASPar) for genotyping.
