By 63 days, the retinas showed total numbers of OHSt RGCs that were not significantly different from those observed in the similar groups of animals processed at 8, 17, and 35 days after lasering, implying that perhaps the numbers of backlabeled RGCs do not decrease further with increasing survival intervals.
