?:abstract
  • With the increased influx of asylum seekers since 2012, policymakers' and society's need for timely, reliable, and valid data on the newly arrived has increased. However, refugees are a vulnerable, hidden, and hard-to-reach population, which poses a variety of challenges to surveying them. The paper describes and compares the possibilities and limitations of different sampling methods. Furthermore, an insight into the field experiences during data collection of the mixed-methods study "Democracy and Participation of Refugees in Bavaria" is presented. (xsd:string)
