?:about
?:abstract
  • Thinking of the various layers within development, from its conceptual foundations and associated actions, violence appears in all of them, connected in one way or another. The relationship between violence and development has historic determinants in the concepts of progress and within colonialism, all of which determines the inevitability of violence and is essentiality in any conception of development. Violence, as such, is not a consequence nor obstacle to development, but rather is inherent in its nature. Addressing violence implies finding alternatives to development. (xsd:string)
