?:about
?:abstract
  • This publication discusses the professionalization of Adult Education from an international viewpoint. Increasing mobility and demands for more transparency lead to international standards becoming more urgently needed. At the same time many adult educators face the risk of excessive formalisation and bureaucratisation. This anthology is positioned between these conflicting priorities, where competence profiles and qualifications frameworks play a key role. The authors explore adult education as a profession from different viewpoints and thereby combine scientific approaches with practical questions. Using international research projects as a basis they provide food for thought relating to the professionalization of further professional development. (xsd:string)
