?:abstract	Agro-ecology has been raised as an alternative to produce cleaner, healthier produce for subsistence, as a proposal, which offers the possibility of providing food to the family agricultural unit. It also attempts to generate a proposal of alternate marketing, these being some of the motivations, which led peasants in the East of Antioquia, to practice agro-ecology, specifically in the municipalities of Marinilla, El Santuario, Carmen de Viboral, in the State of Antioquia (Colombia).
