?:abstract
  • Data from the 1991 & 1999 European Values Study are drawn on to investigate four questions concerning qualities that children should be encouraged to learn at home: (1) Has there been a change in preferences of these educational values during this period in Czech society, which has been undergoing a deep political, economic, & social transformation? (2) Are these preferences structured along the social & demographic characteristics of the Czech population? (3) Is there a general pattern in educational preferences among the Czech population & if so, is it traditional or modern values that are being preferred? (4) What is the position of the Czech Republic among other European countries with respect to these preferences? (xsd:string)
