?:abstract
  • "During construction work in the year 1990, a stone bearing the depiction of a ship was found in the hause Petersilienstraße 14 in Hann. Münden. The ship is a Singlemaster with a two-man crew. The date 1669 and the initials C G are also found on the stone. lt is a so-called oven stone, a type formerly used to support the fronts of large ovens. By means of Hann. Münden tax lists it was possible to determine that the initials were those of the 17th-century shipmaster Christoph Gebert, who apparently had the hause built." (author's abstract) (xsd:string)
