At first selected women's organisations of the Kaiserreich are introduced, which document the participation of women in the process of "fundamental politicalization" and show at the same time the heterogeneity of right women's clubs. Organisations taken into account are: the Vaterländische Frauenverein, Protestant women's organisations (Evangelische Frauenhilfe, Deutsch-Evangelischer Frauenbund, Neulandbewegung), nationalistic associations (Frauenverein für die Ostmarken, Flottenbund Deutscher Frauen, Frauenbund der Deutschen Kolonialgesellschaft) as well as urban and rural housewife organisations (I). The engagement of women in the Deutschnationale Volkspartei will be focussed in the second part. The topics which will be discussed are: First party political women's groups, revolution and suffrage, electoral campaigns for women, female parliamentarians, party organisations of women, ideological basic positions and workscopes (II). The right women's clubs of the Kaiserreich lasted over the break of 1918/19. The organisations were able to mobilize masses of supporters also in the Weimar republic. There were some new foundations (Ring nationaler Frauen, Bund Königin Luise, Deutscher Frauenkampfbund gegen die Entartung im Volksleben) which enlarged the spectrum of the women's organisations towards the radical right with her affinity with the national movement and the NSDAP (III). Since most studies concentrate on the leading functionaries and executive board women in organisations and parties at the national level, the importance of right women at the base shall be discussed in the last section (IV). Concluding, basic data of the women's organisations chosen here are assorted: Dates of foundation and annulment, number of members, media of publication, names of the chairwomen and sometimes the associated men's organisations or the duration of membership in Bund Deutscher Frauenvereine (V).
