  • The bachelor thesis examines the impact of value orientation on the level of Euroscepticism in the member countries of the European Union. The thesis introduces materialism, postmaterialism and Inglehart’s theory of the intergenerational value change in connection with other theories of modernity. Next, the thesis deals with the topic of European integration, integration processes and Euroscepticism. The aim of the practical part is to analyse the relationship between value orientation, materialism or postmaterialism, as an explanatory variable and Euroscepticism as a dependent variable in public opinion in 2012-2018 in the EU member countries. The analysis is performed using correlation diagrams and data from Eurobarometer surveys. In conclusion, the thesis reveals possibilities on how to improve Eurobarometer surveys using existing Euroscepticism typologies. (xsd:string)
