?:abstract
  • This chapter examines the relationship between emigration and social trust in the societies of origin. We combine both country-level and individual-level data on exposure to emigration and different forms of trust among residents of Eastern European and Central Asian sending countries. Our results provide tentative evidence that large emigration flows are potentially detrimental to trust formation. (xsd:string)
