?:abstract
  • Religion and religiosity are rarely the main focus of economic research; although, some studies have already shown the importance of religion for economic development. Previous research has also provided some evidence that religiosity matters in the process of formation of economic attitudes. Economic attitudes and culture in general affect social institutions and economic development, especially in the periods of institutional change. This article provides some additional evidence that religiosity has had an impact on economic attitudes in post-communist countries. Thus, religion shall be taken seriously as an explanatory variable when it comes to evaluation of transition process and its outcomes. (xsd:string)
