Polls of Americans' beliefs regarding the origins of life are quite malleable according to how the question is asked. Depending on the poll wording, 42 to 64 percent are Biblical creationists, 10 to 41 percent believe in either theistic evolution or "intelligent design," and 10 to 46 percent believe in naturalistic evolution.
