?:abstract
  • The previous eight chapters provided answers to the five subquestions of this research. The general situation regarding privacy and personal data protection in each country was described and national government policies, laws and regulations, implementation and regulatory authorities and enforcement were investigated. As indicated in Chap. 1 (see Table 1.1), within these five topics of comparison, a total of 23 aspects (labels) were used to cluster the answers. In this chapter, the key question of this research (“What is the position of different countries with regard to the protection of personal data in comparison with other EU member states?”) will be answered. Section 10.1 compares the eight selected countries with each other on each aspect. Section 10.2 integrates these findings and describe an approximate general ranking of the countries (xsd:string)
